Finally the much-talked about Mall Culture has made a debut in Kishanganj on Sunday, September 7, 2014 on Neemchand Road opposite Tip Top dresses. The first ever mall named as "Daftari's" Mall was inaugurated by Member of Parliament (MP) Maulana Asrarul Haque in presence of Kochadhaman MLA Master Mujahid Alam and other dignitaries belonging to various fields. The mall is currently having few shops including a Raymond's Showroom. More shops yet to come inside the mall in the coming time.
Although the Daftari's Mall has added a new chapter in the history of Kishanganj but how much it attracts the common people and cater their needs it is a big question??? Whatever would be the response of people it is going to clear in next couple of months, however, the initiative of Rajbari Tea fame Rajkaran Daftari is praiseworthy.
Let me remind Shefa Syed Hafeez, son of Dr. Syed Hasan also advertised to open shopping mall named as "Nigar De Mall" at the outskirts of Kishanganj on Bahadurganj - Kishanganj Road a couple of years back. But the Mall is yet to get its shape and there is no any information about the construction work of "Nigar De Mall".
