Bahadurganj MLA Tausif Alam's "Royal" wedding

0
India’s most financially weak (poor) district Kishanganj became rich for one day. Sounds Unbelievable???This sounds awkward and unbelievable for Kishanganj but this is true. What happened this past week on Saturday (April 27, 2013) is Kishanganj was not less than a ‘Royal’ story. Just like the high-profile wedding ceremonies organised by big corporates in metros like Delhi, Mumbai, a similar kind of wedding happened in Kishanganj district of Bihar.

MLA Tausif Alam ready to depart with bride

Tausif Alam, the sitting MLA (Member of Legislative Assembly) from Bahadurganj Assembly Constituency of Kishanganj got married this past week amidst a grand ‘Royal’ celebration with Tarana Asfi, daughter of Mukhiya Izhar Asfi from Katha Matha village. The ‘Royal’ weeding became a common topic of debate among the people residing in different parts of the district. Be it closed homes, chowks and chowrahas people were mostly discussing the marriage of MLA Tausif Alam.

The weeding became high-profile with the presence of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who himself had reached Gargaon, the native village of MLA Tausif MLA. Sadanand Singh, former state president Congress, Santosh Kushwaha MLA from Baisi, Mahmood Ashraf JD(U) leader along with other high-profile leaders were present at the wedding ceremony. In fact, the ritual of “Sehra Tying” was done by CM Nitish Kumar itself, who also had lunch at the residence of MLA.

As soon the people came to know about the weddings, they had started to criticize the groom for excessive expanses. Marriage is once in a life time affair hence people try to celebrate in a memorable way. There is no wrong if someone spends his / her savings to make the celebration grand. However, excess of everything is wrong especially in financially backward district like Kishanganj and somehow it brings the life’s best celebration under scanner.

Mumtaz Naiyer, a resident of Thakurganj, Bihar currently based in London opened a debate on Facebook in the group “Association of Seemanchal Professionals” and received varied feedbacks / opinions on the high-profile marriage.

  • You, Mumtaz NaiyerKhaiyam AkhterAli Ashraf and 11 others like this.
  • Mumtaz Naiyer Congratulations to Bahadurganj MLA Mr. Tausheef Alam for his marriage, We wish him happy married life...I think this is the first of its kind in the poorest district of India called Kishanganj where someone used a helicoptor to bring his bride spending many lakhs, but the big question is...does this suits to the the self procalimed massiha of poor? I think this will attract a huge debate in kishanganj in coming days....Need your expert opinion...
  • Sarshaar Mustafa Mubarak for his marriage , may Allah give him a happy marriage life . but the helicopter stunt is a big Waste of money.

  • Sarshaar Mustafa Does not befit to a sitting MLA. Who's money is this? Only audit & enquiry can reveal the truth.

  • Master Mujahid Alam Iagree with Mr. Mumtaz Naiyer and Mr.S.Mustafa.
  • Shakeb Alam It is the message for other politicians(Kne),they pull up their shocks for the coming 2014 election.Being an MLA of congress party he invited Mr. CM in his wedding. He has guts and money too.The public of his area are very happy and bank on his power in Bihar politics.
  • Sarshaar Mustafa It's a bad example from an elected representative of our area.
  • Sarshaar Mustafa Money & power should be used in other better ways. How many thousands of people in our area r living in poverty without proper food, clothes, housing & education. There r many better things to be done.
  • Mashhud Alam Much money lost wisdom....? Is this a way to get name, fame only?
May Allah bless on this nation....
  • Md Saddam Bharti money hai to honey hai
  • Manzar Habib Politicians are no more role models. If one goes by the popular sentiment then they are pain in the assho**.They have long ceased to be social reformers. The cut money from varios developement projects and schemes routed through the contractors and bureaucrats make these sort of lavish spendings by politicians possible.Marriages are the occasions when we go overboard in lavish spendings.
The justification given; it's a one off affair.........so spend and spend till you die.
But we should give Mr.Tauseef his due. It nicely suits his image which he has so painstakingly cultivated.
  • Tarique Anwar kash ye garibon ko kuch madad kar deta
  • Obaidur Rahman Dear Simanchal Brothers it’s your responsibility to boot Tausheef form your Kishanjanj. Jago logon jago our bahgao
  • Mumtaz Naiyer I wonder what he was trying to prove? Indeed he has set a wrong example. I am shocked because during my last visit to kishanganj, I met students in many schools and colleges, even the students of Adarsh Middle school Thakurganj which is situated in the heart of the town was forced to sit on the ground on plastic sheets, becuase there were no proper desk/bench etc. Does this emerging Bahubali Neta of KISHANGANJ do care for the other women of his constituency where more than 90% of the women are aneamic, where child mortality is at alarming situation, poor sanitation, no basic MEDICAL facillity, No maternity home etc. Sarshaar Mustafa and Manzar Habibbhai, time has come to teach a lessson to these idiotic Netas of Kishanganj district....we need to join hands to uproot all of them..let make a better tomorrow for kishanganj/seemanchal....
  • MK Saba Hazaron khwahishen aisi k har khwahish pe dum nikle
Bahut nikle MLA Mr.Tausheef Alam k arma fir bhi kam nikle.........
  • Mashhud Alam @Mumtaz bhai. Actually he wants to prove that kishanganj is the poorest but I am the richest in simanchal...
  • Sarshaar Mustafa True, these kind of people should NOT be made our elected representatives . These kind of people will not do any good to common man., he seems like a very self-conceited person & Not a leader.

  • Sarshaar Mustafa Definitely, they r not role models. But an Elected Representative must be accountable to public for his/her every action, speech & any unnecessary extra vagant expenses . There is a high chance of public money being wasted.

  • Mumtaz Naiyer Sarshaar Mustafa bhai...I am quite surprised some of my friends are justifying his actions and consider him as Next Taslimuddin of Seemanchal....and they are not ordinary people rather the educated calss of kishanganj....

  • Sarshaar Mustafa Yes, this shows the sad state of ourselves , the educated & common man of our area. What's so good about Tasleemuddin ? Is there anything to take pride on him? I have only heard of gunda gardi about him. And a shame for Muslims of our area.

  • Sarshaar Mustafa And if Tasleemuddin & Tauseef sb are really so gutsy & powerful , then what did they do in the Forbesgunj murder case? What help did they provide to the families of those who were killed? What did they do to give justice to these families? They should use their powers & guts in such cases to prove their guts.

Film ka to ending achha thha, lekin BAHADURGANJ walee iss kahaani ka ANJAAM sirf ALLAH hi jaanta hay

  • Sarshaar Mustafa Mumtaz Naiyer Sb , the BJP point is just to fool people and win their votes. We had MJ Akbar, and now Maulana Asrarul Haque sb , these people are far better than these foolhardy gundas . We definitely have alternatives against BJP in our area.

It is reported that yesterday the bride's father hosted for 20000 odd guests and today the groom gave a feast to 50000 (fifty thousand;make no mistake) odd people.
So the MLA has catered to the cullinary taste of one-third of his electorate.

  • Mumtaz Naiyer Sahim Ahmed bhai...somebody told me that there is a high probability his father in-law did all these arrangements as he is a rich man of Bahadurganj to make Tauseef saheb a prospective MP candidate in the coming elections...it is just an election gimmick and a very useful tool to fool the voters as mostly surjapuris are attracted towards these show offs...

  • Md Jawid Alam These politicians are the ones who understand all kinds of popular taste, so they are popular among the electorates. The fault lies more on the system than on an individual, where muscle and money still rules the roost. The CM too owes an answer to the people as to what necessitated his arrival to the ceremony and how much of public money was wasted through this totally unwarranted visit of his. The common man toils hard to earn his daily livelihood, they find it even harder to come to terms with ever increasing price rise and these shameless politicians make blatant abuse of their powers and positions earned through the begging of priceless votes of the Aam Aadmi.

  • Md Mudassir Alam The baraat and royal weeding itself shows how much the elected representatives are concerned towards its people. The money wasted in the weeding is enough to run the family of many financially weak for months....I am surprised where the IT is sleeping, as monthly salary of MLA is not much to organise such grand weeding.
