After a long wait the Central Haj Committee has issued the list of Haj Pilgrims from the state of Bihar with Flight scheduling. The first flight of Air India carrying Bihari Haj Pilgrims will depart on September 17, 2012 from Gaya Airport. The Haj Committee has issued the schedule of 4875 Haj pilgrims out of 6400 on Sunday (September 9, 2012). The schedule of rest of the applicants will be issued shortly by the Central Haj Committee. As of now 39 scheduled Haj flights will take off from Gaya Airport also known as Bodhgaya Airport between 17th September and 6th October. Every day two flights of Air India will take off from Gaya Airport with 125 passengers (Haj pilgrims). This time the Haj pilgrims will land at Jeddah Airport of Saudi Arabia instead of Medina. On request of Bihar Haj Committee the Air India has changed the take off time this year. The first flight will lake off at 10.30 am in the morning from Gaya Airport and it will land at Jeddah at 5.45 pm. While the next flight will take off at 1.30 pm and it will land at Jeddah Airport at 7.45 pm.
Arrangements made by Bihar Haj Committee
The Haj pilgrims from Bihar have to report at Haj Bhawan in Patna and the pilgrims bounded for first flight will be taken by bus in the late night to Gaya. While the afternoon bounded pilgrims will be taken by bus at 5 am in the morning to Gaya Airport. According to Bihar Haj Committee Chairman Anisur Rahman Quasmi the Haj pilgrims have to report to Bihar Haj Bhawan two days in advance for getting the official formalities completed. Haj pilgrims will receive their passport, ticket, identity card, guidelines and other essential documents from Haj bhawan only. If Haj pilgrims are unable to visit Haj bhawan personally due to some unavoidable circumstances, then they have to send their representative to collect the documents two days before their scheduled flight departure.
Return of Bihari Haj Pilgrims
The first batch of Bihari Haj pilgrims will return from 1st November. The first flight will take off from Jeddah Airport on October 31, 2012 at 10.30 pm in the night (as per IST) and land at Gaya Airport next day in the morning at 8.45 am (as per IST). The next flight will take off at 1.30 am (as per IST) from Jeddah and it will land at 10.45 am at Gaya Airport. As of now Central Haj Committee has issued the scheduling till November 20, 2012.
