Right to Public Service Act! Now Hassle-free documents for non-resident Biharis in Delhi

Here is reason to smile for non-resident Biharis looking for certificates related caste, domicile and income. Strengthening the Right to Public Service Act (RTPS) the Government of Bihar has take some good decisions. Now Non-resident Biharis currently residing in Delhi and NCR (National Capital Region) will  have the special facility to get caste, domicile and income certificates from the office of Bihar resident commissioner within 28 days from the date of application. This facility for Delhi and NCR based Biharis has been introduced in the list of services to be provided under Bihar Right to Public Services Act (RTPS). 



The Government of Bihar has also reduced the time limit of issuing important certificates like caste, income and domicile certificates by departments concerned within the state from 21 days to 14 days. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said the maximum time limit for issuing the certificates is 14 days and the concerned officials should try to issue it as early as possible.

In addition to caste, income and domicile certificates, the applications for Rashtriya Parivarik Labh Yojana and Mukhya Mantri Kanya Vivah Yojana will also be covered under the Right to Service Scheme and disposed of within 30 days and 15 days respectively. The government issued notifications to this effective from August 15 and 16.

In an another major development the government has directed that mutation applications for transfer of name of purchaser and seller in land deals, will now be disposed of 30 days, as existing earlier.
