If the report published in a leading Urdu Newspaper of Bihar is taken into consideration, the there a great reason for celebration as the proposed Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Special Centre in Kishanganj has got the President of India’s approval a couple of days back. This news was shared by Youth Congress leader Nisar Ahmad while addressing a gathering at Baisi in Purnia division of Bihar. The congress leader praised the Kishanganj MP Maulana Asrarul Haque for his valuable contribution and sacrifice for the cause of AMU Centre in Kishanganj.

It should be noted that the file of AMU Kishanganj had reached to President of India’s office in the first week of May. It got approval within 2 weeks from Honourable Pratibha Devi Singh Patil, which has provided a great shy of relief for the AMU Kishanganj lovers. Now the proposed AMU Centre in Kishanganj requires allocation of fund Rs. 50 crore as token grant for start of the session from Ministry of Finance (MOF). If the Finance Ministry offers token grant and the AMU Vice Chancellor gets the official formalities completed in the short while, then it can be expected the session will start from this year only. The AMU Kishanganj lovers should keep their fingers crossed for the big day and also be optimistic about the establishment of the mega campus very soon.
