Concern: How Can We Celebrate the AMU Kishanganj Agreement Day?

0
Bihar is renowned for its hospitality and grand celebrations during special occasions. The agreement for the proposed AMU Centre in Kishanganj going to happen between Bihar Government and Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Vice Chancellor by the end of December, probably on 31st. However, this is Big Question for the all concerned especially the residents of Kishanganj, Seemanchal, rest of Bihar and neighbouring West Bengal, How to Celebrate the “Agreement Day”? The Day when the agreement between Bihar Government and AMUVC will be signed can be termed as a ‘Red Letter Day’ for Bihar.

The Delhi based AMU Coordination Committee (AMUCC) met the AMU Vice Chancellor this past week and came across his views regarding the agreement and celebrations happened in two centres at Mallapuram in Kerala and Murshidabad in West Bengal. Based on the inputs of AMU VC, we came to know that the State Governments of Kerala and West Bengal had organized a grand “Public Function”, which was attended by thousands. Although the Vice Chancellor Prof P K Abdul Azis had not wished anything special from Kishanganj, but we came to a conclusion that we the people of Bihar should organize a ‘Grand Fucntion’ at the historic Ruidhasa Maidan of Kishanganj, and request the Bihar Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, HRD Minister, Land and Revenue Minister, Bihar Governor, other political leaders of the state including our local politicians belonging to area of Seemanchal.

Being a buff of AMU Centre Kishanganj, I am requesting all to come with the ideas and convince the District Magistrate Kishanganj, political leaders of Ruling NDA based in Kishanganj and activists to come forward to organize a ‘Event’ at a grand level and make it a History.

Below are some photos of celebrations happened in Murshidabad and Mallapuram.
