3
December 24, 2011: Zaki Anwar a native of Baigana village in Kishanganj district died at AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) at around 3 am in the morning. 24 years old Zaki scummed to his deep injuries during treatment after he was badly beaten by his flat owners at Tugalkabad (Govindpuri) in New Delhi in the night of December 22, 2011. As per the inputs of victims younger brother and relatives the unfortunate incident seems to be a case of personal grudge or rift.

The Ambulence carrying Zaki to Railway Station

Zaki's room partner said that he had got a call from someone (seems to be his owners) in the night and he moved out of the room immediately. However, Zaki didn't came back to his room the whole night and also next morning. At around 1 pm on December 23, 2011, the younger brother of Zaki got a call from his parents and came to know about him. They rushed towards AIIMS ICU (Intensive Care Unit) to see Zaki who was battling with life.

The corpse of Zaki brought for preservation in Coffin
In fact, no one had any info about Zaki's critical condition in New Delhi. Someone from AIIMS had given a call to his relatives at home and informed about the condition. Zaki's brother while talking with KBC said, the owners had badly beaten his brother with rods and also smashed his head against the wall. When he was almost dead the culprits had contacted the Police (they claim Police was managed by the culprits) and brought  him to AIIMS. The Police has also lodged an FIR from the side of culprits that put all the blame over the deceased and also alleges him as a thieve.

About 1500 kms away from his near and dear ones, Zaki was working in the garment industry. No one has ever wondered, he would lose his valuable life in such a unfortunate way only due to personal revenge. Height to this, the insensitive police instead of taking any action against the culprits had lodged an FIR against the victim itself. Zaki is no more, and this a huge loss for his family members and near and dear ones. But the role of Delhi Police is altogether disappointing and it would encourage the culprits for doing such inhuman act.

  2. H Reza, I can understand your sentiments, really the FIR lodged by the Police is in bad shape and doesn't show any concern. This is really a big question over the modus operandi of India's police especially Delhi Police, which claim itself fair. Such careless attitude will encourage the bad elements to take the law and order in hands, and they can kill anyone for a small rift or differences.
