A petiton to Bihar CM Shri Nitish Kumar Ji regarding 250 acres land transfer for the proposed AMU (Aligarh Muslim University) study centre in Kishanganj

With the passing time the hope of AMU centre in Kishanganj is vanishing day-by-day. The burning topic during Bihar Elections have almost become an outdated topic. And, no any political party came forward to resolve the matter. As a common citizen of India, I had sent a memorandum to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, and sent a copy to Hon'ble President of India, Prime Minister, Governor of Bihar, Sonia Gandhi, HRD Minister and Finance Minister. Sadly, even after 2 months nothing is heard from Bihar CM or the Centre. Below I am sharing the letter with you all.

I, Md.Mudassir Alam is a common man writing from Kishanganj district of Bihar, one of India’s most educationally and economically backward area. Congratulations to you for your party’s thumping victory in the recently concluded Assembly elections and forming the Bihar Government once again. I would like to draw your attention towards the proposed Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) study centre in Kishanganj. Everything was falling at the right place, since the announcement of AMU administration about two years back to establish a centre in Kishanganj, your repeated promises to provide free of cost 250 acres land for setting up the university in the district.
Till the visit of AMU VC Prof. P.K. Abdul Azis on May 22, 2010 to the offered land in Kishanganj, we all were expecting the University would be a reality in a short time. However, after the visit of AMU VC only we have come across statements made by your government and opposition through media reports. In fact, nothing has happened on ground level to transfer the land to AMU that is a prerequisite for establishing a centre in Kishanganj.
Nitish Ji, Bihar badly needs development, and till date devoid of any Central University. AMU centre in Kishanganj is a precious gift for the backward area of Seemanchal and whole Bihar. As per reports AMU VC Prof. P.K. Abdul Azis would proceed further to establish the centre only after getting 250 acres (contiguous piece) of land without any type of encroachment or legal constraints from Bihar Government. The proper road communication, electricity supply are other prime requirements that Bihar Government needs to fulfil by signing a MoU with AMU administration.
Nitish Ji, we all know the sessions of two centres, Malappuram (Kerala) and Murshidabad (West Bengal) are going to start shortly in January 2011. I on behalf of Kishanganj and people of Bihar and rest of the country request you to solve the land transfer issue on fast track basis by guiding the District Administration (Kishanganj) and concerned people. At the same time, the Honourable President of India, the Prime Minister of India, the congress President Sonia Gandhi Ji, the Honourable Governor of Bihar, the AMU Vice Chancellor, the ministers of Govt of India and Kishanganj DM who have been marked in this petition please join hands with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for the noble cause meant for the deprived region of Kishanganj.
